Hatha

Considered as the classical yoga, Hatha is the most popular form of yoga practice in the west, and its the foundation of many other new yoga styles. Hatha Yoga is said to balance the opposing energies of the body - sun and moon, male and female and all the dichotomies in the universe. This form of Yoga is most often identified with the practice of basic yoga postures(asana), experience breathing techniques, and relaxation.

In Hatha yoga, we manipulate the energy on the physical and energetical body, to reach all the different layers of our consciousness. Hatha Yoga will promote physical vitality and mental balance.

Mysore style

A Mysore style self-practice is for everyone and every level. Named after the city in India where it originated, Mysore is the traditional method in which Ashtanga Yoga is taught. Students are taught a sequence of postures through one-on-one instruction using customized poses, and progress at their own individual pace with personal instruction and guidance from the teacher in a small room environment. It’s like having a private lesson in a group setting. There is a flexible start time. Just show up between 7-8:45am and you will be taught a sequence that you will move through at your own pace.

gentle flow

Gentle Flow combines a series of postures, where with a gentler, lighter paced flow, students will be able to move with a sense of ease from one posture to another, coordinated with the breath. This softer pace will allow you to be more present with each posture.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga regulates the flow of energy in the body .
It is a more meditative approach with a physical focus much deeper than Yang like practices. Here the practitioner is trying to access the deeper tissues such as the connective tissue and fascia and many of the postures, that we hold for longer periods of time, focus on areas that encompass a joint (hips, sacrum, spine).

Yin yoga is an effective practice to maintain the flexibility of the body, to deepen the connection with the breath and train the mind to remain present through the entire practice.

Yin yang Yoga

Yin Yang Yoga blends two styles of yoga into one practice - bringing together the benefits of passively holding yoga poses with more dynamic sequences and standing postures.
A Yin Yang yoga class will often start dynamically (Yang) and end with longer held poses to relax and calm the nervous system. The sequencing of the class can have a powerful effect on your energy levels and how you feel after class.
For all levels.

We also work on relaxation techniques using guided meditations. VINYASA KRAMA

Vinyasa Krama is the original yoga system of Krishnamacharya. It means “wise progression.” During this practice, every pose is experienced in a flow and with a special breathing methodology under the guidance of a teacher. Vinyasa Krama develops all directions of mobility, strength and extended flexibility. New sequences designed uniquely for each class, considering the season, time of day, and the needs of each student. Different Vinyasas (the transitions between poses) will be offered, keeping this a fun and engaging flow class.

Vinyasa Krama is the foundation for the high art of truly skilled, compelling and powerful yoga teaching, yet for all levels. Over time, the practitioner would recognize and learn the original yoga sequences. The main motivation of this yoga session is to bring the body, mind and breath in harmony in order to create a special energy effect.

Restorative pilates flow

Taking from the classical method designed by Joseph H. Pilates, and balanced with Yin and Restorative Yoga, comes this class that consists of movements that are low-impact, with few repetitions, emphasizing form and alignment. Pilates focuses on the ‘core’, the muscles of the back and stomach, and also targets the intrinsic, supporting muscles to give a long, lean physique.

The movements are integrated with the breath and emphasis is placed on focus so that the mind becomes more in tune with the body, creating a connection that can be carried out of the studio to improve grace, balance, and focus in daily life.

Classes end with stretches based on the Yin and Restorative yoga methods allowing you to leave class feeling taller and calmer.
